Exercise Science Fitness

Tomorrow I am going with some other Phys. Ed. majors to run the Exercise Science fitness program. This is where the Fitt Club got its idea for our group fitness. We are playing frisbee games, and when I was looking I found some really good ones. I did not relaize though, that you can play rounders with almost anything. When I had to teach it as a lesson, we played it with a bat and ball, so it was really close to basbeall. I found a frisbee version of rounders though. It is the same, but you use the firsbee. The batter throws it rather than there being a bowler. Also, there is a coordination game that allows teams to amke wobbly throws to try and score points, while the other team can only catch with one hand. Frisbee games are great for phys. ed. classes because they require very little, if any extra equipment, and they are great to play outdoors.

Frisbee does seem to be a popular game around campus. I see kids of all different dorms outside throwing the frisbee. When driving along keister, there are always big games of frisbee tag in the front football field. I did not know that Phys ed worked with exercise science majors. The volunteer work will help with your resume as the teacher explained today. Exercise science majors could probably distribute some good ideas on work out regimes for phys ed majors still interested in athletics.
