YMCA
Again the FITT Club went to the YMCA in New Castle, and this time I felt like we really accomplished something. We started off with a getting to know you game, because there were several new students. I played the tiolet paper game with them, and I also learned a lot abou them that I didn't know. Then we played a game of volleyball, and finally everyone got off the bleachers and played. This was one of the best things I have ever seen. It has been so frustrating watching some of the students just sit there rather than being active. They were all really good at it, and we actually got a good game going. I hope that when we go again in April, we can do another activity that will once again get them all involved. It is important that we go because not only do we get the kids active, but we also talk to them about problems they may be having. I think that Career Links is 9a really great program!

You should most certainly play castle ball with them. There is not a person I know that wouldn't enjoy that game so keep that in mind if you ever need a back up plan. I also played a modified game of volley ball in Fitness Ed. where they sit on their butts and that was a lot of fun. It uses raquet ball nets so you can get more kids involved (less per game) therefore more people are involved. Keep up the good work.
